Urban Projects and Smart Infrastructure in Paraguay

In 2024, investment in infrastructure reached USD 3.8 billion, led by road expansion, bridges, and social housing. The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) oversees more than 600 active projects, including highways and drainage systems.

Urban planning initiatives in Asunción, Luque, and Ciudad del Este are improving mobility and environmental management.

Broadband expansion and fiber-optic projects are supporting urban digitalization. The Paraguay Digital Program aims to connect 90 percent of municipalities by 2030. Improved connectivity facilitates e-governance, education, and remote services.

Telecommunications companies are investing in 5G readiness and smart infrastructure integration for future mobility projects.
