Our Business Focus

Our work focuses on manufacturers, industrial suppliers and companies providing technologies, equipment, components and specialized business services. A company may, for example, need to develop distribution channels or organize its first local operation. Because priorities differ, each assignment reflects the products, target countries, resources and operational needs of the business. Support can therefore address a specific commercial objective or a broader regional expansion project.

Our Role in an Expansion Project

ConectNext manages the commercial and coordination activities assigned within an engagement. Depending on the scope, our involvement may include:

  • Market intelligence to assess commercial conditions before committing resources
  • Identification, qualification and outreach to potential distributors and business customers
  • Product presentations and commercial follow-up, as well as negotiation support and account development
  • Trade fair and business mission coordination, including preparation and follow-up
  • Company formation and the establishment of offices, warehouses or other operating locations
  • Coordination of specialized professional services and local operational requirements
  • Ongoing management, communication and progress reporting

These activities form a defined assignment, so responsibilities and deliverables remain aligned with the client’s objectives.

Direct Management and Specialized Local Delivery

Projects combine activities managed directly by ConectNext with services delivered by appointed local specialists. We oversee the assigned commercial work, operational coordination, communication and reporting.

Qualified providers perform specialized services, including legal, accounting, tax, employment, regulatory and customs work. Each provider remains professionally responsible for its work within the relevant jurisdiction.

For projects requiring inventory in Colombia, ConectNext coordinates warehousing through specialized logistics providers. Arrangements include goods reception and inventory reporting, together with order preparation, customer pickup and local distribution.

The client or its appointed entity retains ownership of the goods, as well as responsibility for importation and invoicing.

Warehousing and Distribution Operations in Colombia

Based in Colombia with Regional Project Scope

Bogotá provides our base for coordinating assignments in selected Latin American markets. Colombia may be the initial target market, while other countries are considered according to the client’s priorities and required support. Before confirming geographic coverage, we assess the relevant activities, local requirements, professional services and operating arrangements. Regional projects can also progress in phases, with a defined scope for each country. This allows expansion to reflect available resources and the conditions encountered as the business develops.

From Market Entry to Ongoing Local Operations

Some engagements cover a single stage of expansion, while others extend from market assessment and commercial development to local establishment.

When a company, office or warehouse is established, clients requiring continued regional management can appoint ConectNext under a separate written mandate. Ongoing responsibilities may include:

  • Coordination of offices, warehouses and administrative providers
  • Follow-up with recruitment, employment and payroll specialists
  • Management of recurring documentation and operational requirements
  • Monitoring of approved budgets, invoices and payment processes
  • Communication with headquarters, as well as operational reporting

Business establishment and ongoing management are contracted separately. Clients can therefore select continued support according to their own management capacity and operating needs.

Client Authority and Clear Responsibilities

Clients retain ownership of their entities and authority over strategic direction, investments, financing, pricing and contractual commitments. They also control decisions concerning exclusivity, property commitments, senior appointments and expansion into additional countries unless expressly delegated.

Any authority assigned to ConectNext is established in writing before execution, with defined activities, budgets and approval limits. Binding commitments require specific authorization, while matters outside the mandate are referred to the client for approval. Reporting provides visibility into completed work and ongoing activities, as well as outstanding requirements and decisions requiring attention.

Independent Commercial Role

ConectNext works independently under defined client mandates. Government agencies, financial institutions, regulatory authorities and other external organizations retain control over their own requirements, approvals and processing periods. Commercial development is conducted according to the agreed scope and depends on market conditions and the decisions of prospective customers, distributors and other third parties. Regulatory approvals, banking acceptance and commercial outcomes therefore remain subject to the decisions and requirements of the relevant parties.

Confidentiality in Client Engagements

Information received during an engagement is handled according to the applicable contractual and confidentiality arrangements. Client identities, projects and confidential commercial information are used for promotional purposes only with authorization. Before information is shared with a provider, candidate, supplier or another approved party, the purpose and responsibilities are addressed within the engagement arrangements.

Research and Published Information

ConectNext publishes industrial, sector and market content covering business activity across Latin America. These publications provide general information about the areas represented on the platform. Commissioned research, however, addresses the products, countries and commercial questions defined for a specific client. Reports identify the information examined and its sources, as well as relevant limitations. Research supports business evaluation, while legal, tax, financial, regulatory, engineering and other specialist matters require the appropriate professional advice.

ConectNext Research Framework

The ConectNext B2B Directory

The ConectNext International B2B Directory provides paid company and product visibility through listings organized by industry and category. Profile features depend on the selected participation plan. Participation is available independently, so companies can purchase a listing without contracting expansion services. Equally, expansion work does not require a directory listing. Each commercial line has its own scope and terms. A listing therefore does not include market intelligence, commercial representation, business establishment or local operations management.

How We Work

We first review the company, its products, target markets and requested support. This assessment establishes whether a suitable engagement can be defined and delivered.

If the requirements align with our services and capacity, we prepare a commercial proposal setting out:

  • Countries, activities, services and deliverables
  • Responsibilities of ConectNext and the client, as well as appointed providers
  • Required documentation, resources and relevant assumptions
  • Delegated authority, budgets and approval requirements
  • Fees, identified third-party costs and payment terms
  • Proposed schedule, communication and reporting arrangements

For ongoing management, the agreement also establishes the duration, recurring responsibilities, management fees and procedures for amending or concluding the mandate.

Execution then begins once the scope and commercial terms have been agreed.

How ConectNext Expansion Projects Work

Our Professional Principles

Five principles guide our work:

  • Commercial relevance: Assignments reflect the client’s products, target markets and business priorities.
  • Clear responsibility: Before execution, each party understands its role, obligations and decision-making authority.
  • Consistent follow-up: Agreed activities and commercial discussions receive continued attention throughout the assignment.
  • Transparent communication: Updates cover progress and costs, as well as matters requiring action.
  • Locally appropriate execution: Regional objectives are translated into arrangements suited to each selected country.
